About Matt

Hello. I’m Matt, the author of this blog.

I write for computers.  I spend most of my time writing web applications as it’s the perfect medium for someone who doesn’t want to specialize.  I get to solve problems in scalability, security, usability, accessibility, and performance in languages including C++, C#, SQL, Java, and the CSS/HTML/JavaScript triad.

I also write for people.  Here you’ll find my thoughts on technology, process, and working on a team.  Most of the time, however, you’ll find me writing about a mistake I’ve made.  That may seem harsh, but I’m only that critical on myself.  As an added bonus, that way I won’t run out of blogging material.

The standard disclaimer applies: all of the opinions expressed here are my own and do not reflect any of my employers, past or present.  I’m also not talking about anyone specific, I’ll make people up if I have to. Finally, I have an annoying habit of using plural pronouns.

If you’d like to get a hold of me, I’m one of the easiest people to find on the internet:
